Noctua introduces new low-profile CPU cooler
NH-L12 is a new low profile cooler. It can be used in two different modes, similarly to NH-C14. In high performance mode it is used with the two supplied fans an is still very slim – only 93 mm high. Alternatively it can be used with only the NF-9B placed under the radiator – so called Low Profile mode. This way its height is only 66 mm, perfect for small form factor cases and HTPC environments.
Supplied fans are the relatively new NF-F12 and NF-B9 that normally run at 1500/1600 RPM with noise levels as low as 22,4/17,6 dB(A), but if you’re in for a really quiet system you could use the supplied Low-Noise Adaptors(L.N.A) and lower the noise to 18,6/13,1 dB(A). In high performance mode it can be used with all Intel and AMD processors, with some special recommendations for 125W AMD models. In Low Profile mode there are some more recommendations, so it is good to check Noctua’s TDP guidelines.
